SFA was established in 1992 and has focused on R&D since 2016. As of April 16, 2018, SFA ARGE obtained the title of SFA ARGE and Özel Sağlık Hizmetleri Ticaret Limited Şirketi with registration number 977211-0, as stated in the commercial registry gazette number 9559. SFA ARGE is a legal TECHNOPARK company, as stated in the commercial registry gazette number 9644 dated August 16, 2018. The company's activities are approved by TECHNOPARK under law number 4691, with the reference number TI/BTAR-03-186-0537.
Its "Microbiology and Physical Analysis Laboratories" have been accredited by TÜRKAK according to the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 Standard as of 2020. In the last quarter of 2020, the company added a "Cell Culture Analysis Laboratory" to perform in-vitro analysis for R&D/projects. In the first quarter of 2021, the company launched the first domestic "Liposome and Probiotic Research, R&D, and Production Center (LIPRO)" in Teknopol Istanbul Health Technopolis. In the last quarter of 2021, it added two cleanrooms compliant with ISO 6, 7, and 8 standards, and in the last quarter of 2022, it added a "Chemical Analysis Laboratory". The company has also started work on setting up a Molecular Biology and Genetics Laboratory, to be completed by the end of 2022.
Within the scope of R&D, SFA has developed more than 3000 professional products and pioneered their commercialization. The SFA ARGE team includes multidisciplinary researchers and personnel consisting of expert biologists, chemists, chemical engineers, biomedical engineers, pharmacists, medical doctors, molecular biologists, and technicians. Academic-level projects are carried out and published internationally. The company operates in the fields of food, cosmetics, dietary supplements, magistral raw materials, sterile raw materials, and laboratory areas in Teknopark Istanbul and Teknopol Istanbul Health Technopolis.
In addition to project development, SFA ARGE also provides microbiological analysis, physical analysis, stability analysis, in-vitro cell culture analysis, microbiological identification, training, and consultancy services within the scope of the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
