SFA was established in 1992 and has turned its direction to R&D since 2016. SFA ARGE has taken the title of SFA ARGE and Private Health Services Trade Limited Company with the registration number 977211-0 as stated in the commercial registry newspaper dated 16 April 2018 and numbered 9559.

SFA ARGE is a legal TEKNOPARK company as stated in the commercial registry newspaper dated 16 August 2018 and numbered 9644. The company activity has been approved by TEKNOPARK within the scope of Law No. 4691 numbered Tİ/BTAR-03-186-0537.

As of 2020, ‘Microbiology and Physical Analysis Laboratories’ were accredited by TÜRKAK according to TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 Standard. In the last quarter of 2020, a ‘Cell Culture Analysis Laboratory’ was added for ‘in-vitro’ analyses in order to carry out R&D/Project studies. In the first quarter of 2021, the first domestic ‘Liposome and Probiotic Research, R&D and Production Centre (LIPRO)’ in our country was put into operation within Teknopol Istanbul Health Technopolis. In the last quarter of 2021, it added two cleanrooms with ISO 6, 7, 8 standards and a ‘Chemical Analysis Laboratory’ in the last quarter of 2022. In the last quarter of 2022, it started to work on the establishment of Molecular Biology and Genetics Laboratory.

Within the scope of R&D, it has created more than 3000 professional product ranges and pioneered their commercialisation. SFA R&D team includes researchers and personnel from multidisciplinary professions including expert biologists, chemists, chemical engineers, bioengineers, pharmacists, medical doctors, molecular biologists and technicians. Academic projects are carried out and published at international level. SFA R&D carries out its activities in Teknopark Istanbul and Teknopol Istanbul Health Technopolis in the fields of food, cosmetics, food supplements, pharmaceutical raw materials, sterile raw materials and laboratory. In addition to project development, SFA R&D carries out microbiological analyses, physical analyses, stability analyses, in-vitro cell culture analyses, microbiological identification, training and consultancy services within the scope of TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
